My body tightened as my spine arched, spreading in invitation. “They’ve had their time. They’re destroying this world, a gift from the Gods and yet they spit on it. They murder each other, tearing this world apart as if it belongs to them alone. We can take it back, we can bathe in their blood as it boils, Lena. He will never destroy a world for you, but I will. I will tear down the walls that hold the other monsters at bay and let them in, to join us. I will rip this place apart, piece by fucking piece for you, and you will reign at my side. Say yes, say yes, and I will come for you. I will walk right up the steps of that Guild, and I will claim my queen where the world can see it unfold.” Lucifer’s eyes watched me, studying me as I considered his words. His heady stare caressed me as if it was fingers stroking chords inside my body, his fingers slowly touching my cheeks as he watched me, waiting, letting me decide my fate.

“If I do agree, you will leave my sister and her child alone,” I stipulated. “I will not share you, and you will prove to me that you want me more than them. I’m a selfish bitch, and I’m a starving one. I will never share you with another, nor will you seek another’s pleasure. You will be mine, and I will be yours. Do you understand me?”
